Takes you back to the late 1960’s and early 1970’s and how Waters’ epiphany of good home style French cuisine brings her to the slow food movement and commitment to cooking with local and organic ingredients. Part memoir, part social history, and part culinary adventure, this book shows the passing of the torch from Julia Child and Elizabeth David to the next generation culminating with the founding of Chez Panisse. Highly recommend.
