This book was essentially a really long article, but unlike other books I've read that are like that, this one definitely kept my interest. Sales has an interesting point of view on the scandal, and I feel that I got a full story of why the Bling Ring did what they did.

Well-written and thought-provoking, this is teh best book I have read in recent years. A must read for parents, teachers and anyone interested in the decline of American society. Less about the antics of the spoiled, self-entitled brats who committed these crimes it more about what may have driven them. It's about the meteoric rise of narcissism, the effect of porn on teens, what it means to be famous, being famous vs shame-ous, and why being "hot" means more than being intellignt, talented or even more than being a mother. Every chapter provides another opportunity to reflect on what it means to be famous (and in some cases, even American) and the price we will ALL eventually pay for our indulgence amd even reverence for the new generation of self-involved, self-justifying entitled people.
