Sorrowful tale of the Chernobyl Nuclear accident and lives impacted by it. Left me wondering how close to the truth is it?

A brilliant and profound book. The story of what happened at Chernobyl and the lives of people within and without the Soviet bureaucracy is told with immense, and devastating compassion and insight. One of the great novels of this decade.
