CBC could be so mean & indifferent to people jumping ship to CTV.
What a classy relationship with co-anchor in the 1970s. However, CTV treated same co-anchor so badly.
However, Lloyd gave a honest story on his life, finding his balance with his family & his successor Lisa Laflamme.
My husband read this. He found it entertaining and informative. Lloyd is honest and open but respectful, even to those that caused him some grief. I read a few chapters and was intrigued to learn some details about Canada's favorite news anchor who is now retired. I shall take this out again when I have more time. Many funny stories. NOT stodgy or boring. GREAT read!
I enjoyed reading about the changes that have taken place in radio, broadcasting, TV and media over decades. Lloyd Robertson's career began such a long time ago, when there was no television, that his perspective as someone who has seen the industry go through many, many changes, was fascinating.
I also appreciated that although he could have shared unpleasant stories about many famous people, he chose, instead, to share the good. I felt, reading this book, that I was in the company of a man I could respect.
I have read the book and I had liked it he is a very nice person this is the book for everyone to read he had a good life
Amazing life story from our local hero.
