This is a French love story directed by Jacques Demy, originally issued as a motion picture in 1961.
Demy is best known for his original musical, Les Parapluies de Cherbourg (The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, 1964).
Unlike the "Umbrellas of Cherbourg", this story has a kind of happy-ending.
