Lots of comments out there about Imelda May moving away from her rockabilly style of past albums. But I'm coming to her voice and songs from this point and I see nothing wrong with this current version of her. And I agree with the AllMusic Review by Matt Collar (caps are mine) " Ultimately, while the album may not hit with the rockabilly wallop that marked the best of her previous work, Life. Love. Flesh. Blood is nonetheless a SOPHISTICATED AND GORGEOUSLY RENDERED ALBUM." Listen to the two videos attached to this catalog record. Then check out the CD and see what you think about this latest offering by Imelda May.
