Entertaining, gentle, & somewhat benign. The celebration of Guy Fawkes never really bothered me until recently & now knowing the history in full, I really dislike it. It irritates me that centuries later modern people celebrate hate & death of Catholics. I'm not of that belief but find it quite distasteful. People were tortured, persecuted, burned alive, drawn & quartered....heinous, hateful. Why must people so far removed from England in distance & time find this acceptable. How many Americans would celetrabe the killing of Lincoln, JFK like some grand fireworks party?

6/10. This series is growing on me, liking it better that season 1, so far. We'll see about season 2, part 2.

There is a very good reason critics are calling this the "best TV series you aren't watching." Excellent (but mostly light) script, excellent acting, wonderful characters who grow and change, beautiful scenery, plot twists, a bit of sex but not enough to be gross, teen angst, midlife angst, comedy, bad guys, mean girls, horrid in-laws, all woven into a small town where everyone knows everything about everyone else's business.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED--watch in order.

Series two ends with a bit of a cliffhanger. We'll see if s-3 is better.

This is one of the most entertaining series I've seen in a long time. Looking forward to season 3.

Very cute series about an Australian journalist (his column consists of 800 words) whose wife passes away and so George decides to move his two kids from Sydney, Australia to Weld (fictional town) New Zealand a small town whose locals are a bit eccentric. Getting used to life without Mom and being in a podunk town kind of puts the kids out of whack and Dad is trying to adapt as well. All good fun, with ongoing family problems. Be sure to watch the first season first and practice your G'days!
