This book is a great foundation for someone who wants to transition to a plant-based diet, someone who wants to start running, or any combination of the two. Matt Frazier gives you very easy and customizable building blocks that make it seem like anyone can achieve their goals. He does not tell you that this is how you must live your life, the book does not preach why you must get on this path, but instead he acknowledges that life is complicated and we are all different and we all need different things. With that, the main focus of this book is to help any reader form new habits of their choosing to form a new lifestyle. Because creating new habits and sticking with them is very difficult, the book is broken into two sections, the plant-based diet and the basics of running. Regardless of why you came to this book, I would highly recommend reading the entire book so that you have a full grasp on habit building, balanced nutrition for all diets, and how to not get burnt out.

Lots of stories by people who have transitioned to plant-based athletics - bodybuilders, runners, triathletes, ultra-runners, etc. Some had pretty remarkable improvements. A very interesting read!
Also lots of recipes, including how to make your own electrolyte drinks (an easy way and a slightly harder way using dates) and your own gels (for those doing ultra-endurance activities).
The info is good for beginners and experienced athletes in their own fields. Surprises await!
