The breathtakingly beautiful story of one little girl and her five paper dolls. A string of paper dolls go on a fantastical adventure through the house and out into the garden. They soon escape the clutches of the toy dinosaur and the snapping jaws of the oven-glove crocodile, but then a very real pair of scissors threatens. A stunning, rhythmical story of childhood, memory and the power of imagination from the author of The Gruffalo, and new illustrating talent Rebecca Cobb.

A beautiful children's story. My daughter and I enjoyed it together and then we got to talk about what games I played as a child. We also made paper dolls together inspired by the book.

Wonderful new story from the author of The Gruffalo: "A lyrical story of childhood, memory and the powder of imagination from the unparalleled Julia Donaldson, with stunning illustrations by the hugely talented Rebecca Cobb."(Inside jacket flap)
Perfect mother-daughter story to snuggle up and read.
