Horribly cliched religious propaganda.

This is definitely the most realistic version of the infamous viral video called "Perspectives" I had ever seen in my whole entire life, and I guess it all makes so much sense to me after all of six years of waiting. It was so cool... :)

Suicide never solves a problem. Reach out to someone.

A friend still hasn't recovered from finding her mom and that was 40 years ago.

Made in America Christian propaganda for teenagers. Anyone who thinks teens think or speak in this way hasn't been around them. A pie in the sky flick.

The type of movie that gives you a wake-up call and I think it really calls & challenges you, to take a look at your life and see what you could be doing better. This movie is not only inspirational with christian influences in the whole, but completed by the heart-touching story it carries.

"Like you ever cared." The four haunting words.

Sam_I_Am Sep 03, 2011

"Life is a journey. Not so much to a destination, but a transformation. You know, looking back doesn't it sometimes feel like our richest times come right in the midst of our hardest? But God made us to live . . . to laugh and cry, to hurt and celebrate with each other no matter what we're going through. And transformation is tough. We don't always end up where we think we will. But we have ti remember that even when we struggle to believe in Him, He always believes in us. He fills our life with purpose and passion, if we just let Him. And, you know, the best part of the journey is that the God of the universe sometimes allows us to play a part in changing the world. Isn't that a trip?" -- Chris, the youth pastor, played by a real youth pastor.

Sam_I_Am Sep 03, 2011

"You've spent your whole life trying to get people to like you." --Jake, to Amy, his girlfriend.

Sam_I_Am Sep 03, 2011

"Um, God, I don't know if I'm allowed to be mad at You, but I am. . . . God please give me the strength to do what's right." --Jake, about the choices he must make.

Sam_I_Am Sep 03, 2011

"Everything ariound me is falling apart. Maybe if I were gone everything could be fixed. Why would anybody even care if I were gone? Maybe this is just how life is. Maybe it'll only get worse. I don't think life really wants me either." -- Jonny, as he contemplates suicide

Sam_I_Am Sep 03, 2011

"I mean, how did it get to the point where his only option was to shoot himself? There are people killing themselves and you're chugging soda through a sock. I mean, what's the point of all this if you're not going to let this change you?" Jake, new to a youth group, and telling them off.

Sam_I_Am Sep 03, 2011

"I feel so alone, like I'm the only person in the world who feels this way, and it doesn't even matter. It's not important, maybe because I'm not important. . . . I feel like I'm stuck in a world where I'm so completely different I can never fit in or be understood. I can scream as loud as I want to but screams will always fade because no one really knows how to listen." -- What Roger writes, before he kills himself

Sam_I_Am Sep 03, 2011

When popular High School basketball star Jake Taylor's boyhood best friend, Roger, kills himself, Jake is forced to reassess. Navigating between his arguing parents, his girlfriend Amy, and his regrets, Jake works to figure out who he is going to become. This is the movie that has over 3,000 stories online (www.ToSaveALifeMovie.com) about how it's impacted lives. For both those who are wondering if life is worth living, and those who want to help them, "To Save a Life" is the rare movie -- that actually has helped save lives. It's a realistic depiction of the pressures of High School, for both those who are considered "cool" and those who are not. A film for everyone. Rated PG-13 for mature themes, ". . . including teen suicide, teen drinking, some drug content, disturbing images and sexuality." Solid soundtrack, well-acted, well-written. Can be found on YouTube and elsewhere online free. This is an indie Christian film, but don't let that scare you. Worthwhile.
