The mutch loved charicters are back and are just as unperdictable as always. Michael Scott is draging the seris out a bit. If you ask me the book that is to follow could be part of this book so some of the boring parts of this book can be extracted.

Add a CommentI am a big fan of this series and this is the best book so far. I couldn't put the book down and read it in one weekend! It had some surprising twists that I wasn't expecting. If you like this series you will love this book! I highly recommend it!
FINALLY! *This* is the part of the saga I wanted to start happening about 2 books ago. The only boring part was on Alcatraz (I get it...there are lots of monsters here...I don't need a detailed description of each one). Looking forward to the last book.
The sixth book. Almost the end of the world of Sophie and Josh or is it? Read it. I reccommend it.
Characters seem flatter with more development, but the story is getting better with more introductions. Excited to read the last one.
The only reason I am still reading this series is because of the hype and the interesting mythology woven in.
Sure, Michael Scott had a few misteps in my opinion (Shakespeare was a totally unneeded character and made me scoff when he came into the plot) , he manages to keep the story somewhat interesting.
However, this book should've been the last book. Scott is desperately dragging out this series, and every book is basically a day or two.
Worse of all,Scott has to deal with the HUGE set of characters he now made and has to keep them constantly moving so everyone is interested. Doesn't quite work. What he achieves is a mindless grind to get to the next action scene, with onesided fights (Scatty will never ever ever ever ever have problems fighting a monster. No matter how big and scary and legendarily evil they are, Scatty and the twins find a way to destroy them easily.)
that leave you feeling rather...malnourished.
Recommended for fantasy readers, but honestly, this series is starting to lose it's novelty, and if the last book isn't more fast-paced, I don't think I will be able to finish it.
Read my other book reviews!

Sigh...long wait until the enchantress comes out.
love this series...i haven't read this book yet but have been getting great comments on it...i love how all the mythology facts are put in to the books, like from greek and egyptian and even modern mythology, stuff from all over the world and it is not even confusing.... really reccomend this to all fantasy readers out there!
I think this is the best book in the series so far! :)
This was another great book in the series. So sad that the next book will be last one. This is definitely one series that I would recommend to anyone who likes mythology, adventure or fantasy books.
