Annoying teen with daddy issues, who's just "into the music" and can't move beyond self-absorption and guilt finds the diary of a brave selfless Parisian woman from 1832. Recommendation: Fast forward through the teen's chapters and enjoy the Parisian woman's life until the book "jumps the shark" around chapter 69 and the teen time travels back to 1832 and becomes the woman.

A guilt-ridden, suicidal teen finds strange parallels to her life in the diary of a girl who lived during the French Revolution. Perhaps a tad too long--there's a lot of history and a lot of music-- this would be a great complement to a history class or for someone who enjoys a bit of the paranormal with their historical fiction.
