From Library Staff

When three little dassies (also called rock hyraxes) try to build their homes in the Namib Desert of southern Africa, their efforts are thwarted by the fierce eagle, who attacks each in turn. Based on "The Three Little Pigs".

In this adaptation of "The Three Little Pigs", there are three little dassies (also called rock hyenas) instead of three little pigs, and a huge hungry eagle instead of a wolf. The setting for this story is the Namib Desert in Southern Africa.

This was a recommended summer book for their One world many stories. It is three little pigs that are in the African Desert. The pictures were great by Jan Brett. It is readable for a K-2.
