I'm automatically drawn to anything remotely 1800-1900's debutante, boarding school, witches; etc; but I'll cast it aside pretty quickly if I don't find anything interesting. I've yet to read 'Private' but because of this book I will definitely look into it. Loved how the storyline plotted out.

THis book was so awesome! The mystery and suspense kept me reading. Kate Brian's Private series are my favourite. It's too bad the series ended, though I hope she is going to write another series. Epic!

I was hoping this book would be about realistic magic. When I was about 100 pages in and figured out it wasn't, I almost put the book aside. But I kept reading. It got better and I liked the story. It was a quick easy read for me.

I haven't read the other Private books, but I plan to look into them now after reading this one.

This book is part of the "Private" series. I have only read the first book cos I cant find Invitation Only anywhere. But Private is already a good book! (I read it in like, 3 hours!) I havent read the book yet but it looks really good. My only question is, if its in 1915, what does it have to do with the rest of the Private books??

This was a good prequel but I think Kate Brian has sort of run out of ideas. The others were intresting but adding magic to the mix seems like a bit much.

"That's not Catherine. At least, not the Catherine you knew."
