This book is basically a showcase of some examples of alternative construction style in a format similar to the magazine portrayals of show homes. It is a good way to see some possibilities, but don't expect much in terms of details. This book doesn't have anything in terms of blueprints, layouts, or technical detail. A few of the homes are in similar climates to ours, which is helpful.

It does have a good set of references and lists of sources for further reading. A good starting point for learning more about alternative construction techniques.
