Photograhically this is an excellent documentary. The least interesting is about primates. Since this documentary claims they're our ancestors they are quite brutal and boring species. While I recommend these dvds I have one major caveat: Oprah Winfrey. She is outright terrible as a narrator. I detested her voice and delivery before I knew it was her. Really awful choice by the producers. Here's a suggestion: Thankfully you can mute Oprah in the options. And then turn on subtitles. It's a thousand times better this way. Stick to daytime TV Oprah, please!

Quite good , just could have had a better Narrator than Oprah Winfrey . A narrator's voice she doesn't have .

Excellent. 2nd time I've checked out this series, would like to own it. My favorite part is about the fungi that take over insects' minds & grow mushrooms out of them.

One of the greatest and most visually stunning documentaries ever made! Many captivating stories are represented by a combination of vivid photography and David Attenborough's intriguing narration. BBC Earth has done it again!

I only had time to watch the section on plants, and I was reminded about carnivorous plants. Forgot all about them!

Another absolutely great series from BBC's Natural History Unit. There is one particularly gruesome scene involving a seal and a penguin, so if youi don't like to see what happens after the prey is caught, then don't watch this episode. Otherwise, kudos to a team that makes plants interesting on the screen!

The only complaint I have is that BBC can't seem to decide whether it's going to be sensational or a wildlife documentary. (Killer whales vs. orcas.)
