Cute and fun. Sad at times but definately great for the family to watch together. My 8 and 10-yr olds enjoyed it alot.

This is a fun easy family movie. Loved the fact that none of the dogs are mainstream dogs but are lovable and addorable.

Skip It – Hotel for Dogs (2009) 100 min. Don Cheadle starred in many a critically acclaimed film (Crash, Hotel Rwanda, Talk To Me, Traitor). Then why would he star in this dog of a movie (pardon the pun)? On screen, Cheadle almost looks embarrassed to be in this film. His speech on the steps is so “Hollywood” that I almost flipped the disc through an open window. The film is social allegory of man caring for the down and out and foster children and in this case, dogs are used to hammer home the point. Unfortunately, the film is completely void of any realism in a subject matter that should’ve been more serious in nature (in relation to children finding a proper home). The film is sugar coated and heavy on the technicolor to give it the balance in realism it should have. It targets the family audience but families deserve better than this. Skip this one.
