A good story with decent art, this carries on from Final Crisis with return of Barry Allen as the Flash. Here we go deeper into the origins of the Speed Force as all the Flashes face off against a fan-favorite villain. Flash fans will more than likely enjoy this comic.

This book marks the return of Barry Allen to the DC Universe. Excellently written by Geoff Johns and beautifully illustrated by Ethan van Sciver. If you're fan of Flash comic books, you'll enjoy this story, that 's a Flash Fact.

5 stars for bringing back Barry Allen and because seeing page after (almost) psychedelic page of speed force effect was interesting and a little trippy. But as has been noted, in some places the art was not so good, and the story gets all bollixed up in places trying to set up the new rules for the Flash rebuild eg the basic idea of the origin of the Speed Force (won't spoiler it) is silly (even for comics). But it's a pretty good read, a nice visual trip, and Barry is back-- so 5*s it is for me.

The storyline was okay, and the art is really kind of.. a tossup. There were some pages that sucked and some that rocked. Overall, it was an okay read. If you want to get back into comics, or want to find out about the Flash family, read it. But if you want amazing writing, we have Neil Gaiman and Alan Moore for stuff like that.
