Nothing really needs to be said about this classic British sitcom, except that it contains some of the most brilliant, most hilarious, and most humiliatingly ghastly moments in the entire history of television.

And "Fawlty Towers Complete Collection" brings together the entire series in all its embarrassing avalanchal glory. It's one of those universally funny TV shows, all about the undignified exploits of a perpetually hostile, repressed and tetchy hotel manager, and the more competent staff who try to keep things sane, written with demented zeal ("That's Brahms! Brahms' Third Racket!") and excellent comic acting.

Basil (John Cleese) and Sybil Fawlty (Prunella Scales) run a moderately-sized hotel in Torquay, with the assistance of the clever waitress Polly (Connie Booth) and the Spanish waiter Manuel (Andrew Sachs) whose grasp of English is a work in progress. The hotel is home to a dotty old soldier, fluttery spinsters, and a revolving door of very dissatisfied customers.
"Fawlty Towers Complete Collection" is one of those shows that shone brightly and briefly, like a fireworks display. Hilarious, uproarious, and utterly timeless.

Fawlty Towers is still the funniest series ever produced. The cast was perfect, the scripts crisp, action-packed and hilarious, and the situations were totally believable. John Cleese is a master of physical and verbal comedy, with the remarkable goose-step, the thrashing of the mini, the manhandling of Manuel, the spasmodic jerks and jumps - one can go on and on. The rest of the cast is perfect and fantastics, but Cleese is the pivotal character in the mix. His unctious, obsequiousness to those perceived to be in the upper class and drop-dead rudeness to everyone else is one of key elements of action at Fawlty Towers.
The episodes in this series are so tightly written that several of them actually seem like two separate episodes in terms of action (the concussion/fire alarm is a prime example).
This series is the best comedy series ever made. It can be watched again and again and again. If you have not discovered the joys of Fawlty Towers and its dysfunctional staff, rush out and and watch it.

My dad showed this to me and ever since then I've been obsessed! Such a crazy, laugh out loud comedy that is utterly bonkers but sweet.

Amaizing. 1 of the best movies I have ever seen. I highly recommend it. It will never grow old. And they never overdo it. John cleese (Basil Fawlty) was married to connie Booth(polly sherman) at the time.

Great show and still hilarious after all these years - btw The girl who played Polly was apparently married to John Cleese.

A classic collection of 12 episodes that require no introduction.
