Scotland ... the Beauty and the Majesty --- DVD --- Very nice. Very nice. Very nice; Scotland and this DVD. We start off with a thumbnail sketch of Scottish history. That’s something probably most of us are probably not very up on. And then on to what we really want to see. Let’s assume that we are going to look at this video with an eye to planning a trip to Scotland and we want to get to an idea of what we should put one our must see list. Well, there are the obvious places like Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Loch Ness, and then there are the, perhaps not so obvious ones like the Home of the Shakespeare’s Thane of Cawdor or the Castle of the Clan of Campbell; or there is Abbotsford, the home of Sir Walter Scott, author of so many books including “The Lady of the Lake” who’s home today is still today much as it was when he lived in it over a hundred years ago, furnished with relics of Scottish relics. There is also the wee town of Pufftown, home to the Glenfiddiddich Distillery, worthy of a pilgrimage perhaps both for tipplers and abstainers alike. There are numerous other places as well. And many that space and time could not be mentioned. Scotland, after all, is such a treasure house. For my time and money and efficiency, videos such as these are always a good jumping off place to get acquainted with a place and this video is a good one.
I found this to be an excellent video and really made me understand some of the things about me beloved Scotland.
