In Secret Vampire , Poppy thought the summer would last forever. Then she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Now Poppy's only hope for survival is James, her friend and secret love. A vampire in the Night World, James can make Poppy immortal. But first they both must risk everything to go against the laws of Night World.

In my own personal opinion this book portrays exactly what teen/young adult paranormal romance is suppose to be. It's everything that I want in a book and also so much more! I love this book, love this series, love the author, and just love everything about it! The one problem (there's always a problem isn't there?) is that I found the books, in the book (because you know this book has three books in it? Well anyways..) I find them too fast paced. And they end too quickly. I would really like to see the relationship grow, you know? But still, I have to say, I would recommend this book to almost everyone I know, and maybe even people I don't know? What I mean to say is that this book is one that you will for sure enjoy! So don't pass it up!

funny thing is, i read this book after the second and third in the series, and i was disappointed. :P
funny how that worked out. i absolutely loved the second and third and i found that this one was just strangely different and not as well-written as the others. now that i've finaly read the first, i can read Strange Fate :) looking forward to it.
