Rock Jaw, Master of the Eastern BorderBook - 2007
Fone Bone and Smiley Bone strike out into the wilderness to return a lost rat creature cub to the mountains. It doesn't take long before they run smack into Rock Jaw, "Master of the Eastern Border," an enormous mountain lion with a none-too-friendly disposition.
Life gets even more complicated when they befriend a group of baby animals who are being orphaned by rat creature attacks. Everything comes to a head in an earth-shattering clash between Rock Jaw and Kingdok, the leader of the rat creatures.

Bone VOL.5 is about a rogue mountain lion that goes by the name of rock jaw. he controls the eastern boarders leading to the forest. their goal was to return a lost rat cub to its rightful pack.Everything comes to a head in an earth-shattering clash between Rock Jaw and Kingdok, the leader of the rat creatures.
Being attacked by locusts and chased a by mountain lion doesn?t stop Bone: Rock Jaw Master of the Eastern Border from being great. The fifth book is just as electrifying as the first four books. Jeff Smith knows how to write a series that is filled with adventure for every age. Fone Bone and Smiley Bone are on a mission to return a baby rat creature, that Smiley named Bartleby, back to the mountains. On their way to the mountains they face an arrogant mountain lion called Roque Ja. Roque Ja is a tricky. He pretends that he?s going to help the Bone cousins even though he?s leading them to the enemy. While the Roque Ja is being devious the possum children come across a raccoon named Roderick whose parents were eaten by the rat creatures. When they see the Bone cousins with Roque Ja and Bartleby assume that they are in danger. The possum children and Roderick thought of a plan that got Roque Ja and the rat creature off their trail for a little while. When trying to hide from Roque Ja they discover the temple of the Lord of the Locusts. Then they began heading towards Barrel Haven. Kingdok, the king of the rat creatures, returns with a swarm of locusts but, then disappear when a necklace falls out of Fone Bone?s bag. The whole crew splits up and Bartleby goes with the rat creatures. I noticed that this made Smiley gloomy and, he probably doesn?t want Bartleby to end up like an evil rat creature.
