A prequel to Frog Princess this book is a stand alone that can be read at any point in the series, but fits very nicely as the fifth book which is where it falls in order of publication.

It was compelling to read about Grassina's life before Princess Millie/Emma (It's sort of hard to keep up, because the books used to switch between characters). I wondered how Grassina had found Haywood! E.D. Baker is one of my favourite authors. :P

This was a wonderful follow-up to Baker's enchanting series " the frog princess." This was one of my favorites.
