Usually, the best of the Mr Men and Little Miss stories are about the characters with silly or negative traits. This book bucks the trend. With a strong supporting cast of friends from the other books, Little Miss Birthday is a sweet character who is stumped by what gift to get for Mr Wrong. The moral of this story (giving gifts is fun) is subtle, and likely easier to convince young children of than the more traditional "'tis better to give than to receive".
My two year old loves this book.
