MUST WATCH! This drama is fantastic in everyway possible! The acting is great, the story is beautiful and the action is savage. A powerful look on the genocide in Rwanda. You won't be the same after this.

Good true life tale of near genocide in Rwanda. Great acting. Compelling and inspirational tale. Suspenseful.

An excellent portrayal of the Rwandan genocide from the point-of-view of Rwandans. It clearly showed that the tribe-based massacre was premeditated and carefully orchestrated. The people trapped in the hotel were able to save themselves after the hotel staff appealed to the influence of foreign diplomats and celebrities to put pressure on the United States and France to organize evacuation convoys. A chilling exploration of the product of hatred.

Everyone should see this and realize that although troubles can occur far away, we must not be cowards and pretend they have nothing to do with us.

Although this could be the story of genocide of many other nations, Rusesabagina along with all those who fought against or were victims of the atrocities, make it unique to Rwanda. Based on true events, this extraordinary film reflects the well-known fact that the world community will not intervene for solely humanitarian reasons. Rather, it will act in accordance to its own political and economic self interests. If you liked this movie and are interested in seeing another that shows the U.N. at “work”, I recommend “No Man’s Land”.

Disturbing portrayal of a time and place the world tried to forget. Excellent demonstration of the positive impact one person can have and, in contrast, the level of cruelty humans can inflict on each other.
