I thought the story began great. I really like Holly. But Orchid Blues was more about her father's work with a subversive group. A good guy, but I wanted to read more about Holly. The end was not as good as his previous book involving Holly. Daisy, her doberman, had no part in the story other than occasional window dressing. The conclusion left a lot of loose threads hanging in the wind.

Fast moving with lots of twist.
Orchid blues introduces my favorite character STONE BARRINGTON.
It also set up for coming series.
STONE BARRINGTON and
HOLLY BARKER.
This is Stuart Woods at his best.
