The movie wasn't anything like I expected. I thought it was going to be somewhat close to the book, and keep the plot similar to it.
I was proven wrong, as the movie excludes much of the plot from the book and excludes important details that make up the story.
I was not impressed, and am glad that I didn't buy it.
Don't know why people say that the book is better. The book is too childish. This movie is really good. I love John Riley in general and in this movie in particular.
good movie wish i could take it out here but can't :(
It was O.K for a home TV movie. I was entertained and interesting. But it was NOT worth the long library wait or the price to rent from a Red Box. "I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.”
it waz funi n wierd n i luv'd it.........
Darren and Steve are high school best friends and they attend a local circus freak show. Steve has always wanted to be a vampire and during the show he recognizes Crepsley as a real vampire. When Steve offers to become Crepsley's assistant he is turned down. Darren is a big fan of spiders and while hiding backstage he steals Crepsley's pet spider. The spider, that can kill a human with a single bite, escapes and bites Steve. In order to save Steve's life Darren makes a deal with Crepsley to become a vampire and work as Crepsley's assistant. Darren also learns how to live among the circus' family of freaks and eventually gets involved in an ongoing fight within the vampire community.
OMYGOD the movie is such a
let-down the books ARE WAY better. i would Recommend the books to any body who love vampires and Spiders!!!!!!!AS much as i do!!!
It would have been nice if they had picked a direction.
This reminded me a lot of The sorcerer's apprentice.
Same layout, same basic plot, like a cookie cutter; insert subject, play.
the book rocked.. the movie?
