Great reference tool for the kitchen.

Still has Julia's good advice, but without as much detail, depth (and pressure!) of Mastering the Art of French Cooking. A good alternative for the 'less serious' cook or someone who can't invest 3 hours over the oven.

There were some places where I wish she was more precise about the technique. Some of the recipes are for a style of eating that is no longer relevant, but there are also some good gems inside.
