Series gets better and better. Eve confronts her past back in Dallas with Roarke by her side. The interactions between all the characters is what makes these books such a great read. This time a former perp has picked Eve as her opponent by killing random older men though Roarke is in her sights as the ultimate target to get even with the only cop she sees as a worthy adversary.
It's almost their first anniversary and a blast from Eve's past returns to town to complicate things. This one has a great Eve-Roarke storyline, we meat Peabody's parents, and yes, there is a serial killer on the loose.
This was one of my favorites in the series.
This was another good one, especially the return to Dallas and re-living her childhood nightmare and Roarke helping her overcome her worst fears. Very good storytelling.
