GIFTED AND CURSED

Kaitlyn Fairchild has always felt like an outsider in her small hometown. Her haunting eyes and prophetic drawings have earned her a reputation as a witch. But Kait's not a witch: She's a psychic. Tired of being shunned, Kait accepts an invitation to attend the Zetes Institute, where she can have a fresh start and study with other psychic teens.

Learning to hone her abilities with four other gifted students, Kait discovers the intensity of her power -- and the joy of having true friends. But those friendships quickly become complicated when Kait finds herself torn between two irresistible guys. Rob is kind and athletic, and heals people with his good energy. Gabriel is aggressive and mysterious, a telepath concealing his true nature as a psychic vampire, feeding off of others' life energy. Together, Rob and Gabriel's opposing forces threaten the group's stability.

Then one of the experiments traps the five teens in a psychic link. A link that threatens their sanity and their lives. And Kaitlyn must decide whom to trust...and whom to love.

Really good, but somehow I think this was more of a typical story about people being used as experiments....xDDD Reminded me of other series like The Darkest Powers and even th cover looks like Malinda from Ghost Whisperer!xD LOL Good read though and the character Gabriel reminds me of a Damon Salvatore...;) At least his attitude.:) lol

It kind of reminded me of the Darkest Powers Series. Kind of easy to predict but overall pretty good.

this book was pretty good and i don't know why but i love to read such big books. like in grade 6, i read breaking dawn in like 3 weeks. anyway, this isn't about breaking dawn, this is about dark visions. i really liked this book. i totally reccomend it to everyone who is in love with the supernatural genre.

I had read several of L.J.Smith's Nightworld series when I read Dark Visions, and I was immediately spellbound. The characters were all well-developed and very appealing - you cared what happened to them. Of course, Gabriel was my favorite. There's something so appealing about a bad boy in need of salvation. I read the whole thing through in one sitting. I would recommend it for anyone interested in the unknown, in coming-of-age books, or just interested in a good read.
