Complete rubbish. How do you take an all star cast and manage to ruin it? Watch this and you will find out.
like Altman's Nashville, a little David Lynch, unique. I avoided this film because I thought it was a vanity piece /excuse for a music legend to wander around on film. (like Elvis) Maybe its the "supporting" cast --the American league all stars--but this is not at all what I expected.one great rif after another--like Jazz solos--the cast is mesmerizing. Also, the writing is really good. sound track also not too shabby. The reunion of the Lebowski team--Bridges and Goodman. One after another-- Kilmer, Rourke, Lange, etc. performance gems.
it's disjointed and has a self-conscious woo-woo mystery, but somehow it doesn't matter.it's like someone else's dream which can be boring except in this case; I guess it depends on whose dream it is.
The only way Dylan is an actor is when he's acting out the character "Bob Dylan" and that is pretty much what he does here. "I'll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours."
