Darren Shan's Demonata series continues with more shocks, demons and thrilling twists in the chilling Bec.

As a baby, Bec fought for her life. As a trainee priestess, she fights to fit in to a tribe that needs her skills but fears her powers. And when the demons come, the fight becomes a war.

Bec's magic is weak and untrained, until she meets the druid Drust. Under his leadership, Bec and a small band of warriors embark on a long journey through hostile lands to confront the Demonata at their source.

But the final conflict demands a sacrifice too horrific to contemplate...

This is an amazing series and I have yet to read every book, but am well on my way to getting there.

It's probably my favourite book from books one to four! (I still haven't read the others, but I think their books would be ten times better!)

I love the vivid details Darren Shan portrayed in this book. I could see the history behind it and knew what each character was about.

Upon beginning this book, it may not make much sense... Set in a completely different time period than the other novels, it may throw you off for a bit. However, you catch on quickly, realizing that it is simply about the events of the past and you go along with it. Being a lover of ancient history (ie. sort of the time period the book is set in) - with the combination of demons and druids, you're in for an amazing tale! I loved this book despite its differences from the rest of books up to this point and it is most certainly highly recommended (though not to the light of heart ;p)!
