Poor Daddy

Adventures of A Stay-at-home Father

A middle-aged man reluctantly thrust into the role of primary caregiver for his two very young children can expect to receive his Early Childhood Education certificate at the institution where most new dads prefer to learn: the School of Hard Knocks. Poor Daddy is a guide for all such modern fathers who are foolish enough to think they can do this hardest-of-all-jobs and survive with their central nervous systems intact. Unlike other parenting guides, however, this one does not actually offer any particular help whatsoever. Having stayed home with his kids for almost a year, the author’s desperation is noticeable in every sentence. The only solid piece of advice he has to offer is that you must end this ridiculous experiment as soon as possible and do as he did: reverse roles with your children’s mother and get the heck back out into the rat race where you most definitely belong.
