Fascinating premise, poorly executed. The writing was juvenile, unsophisticated, repetitive. I won't be reading any more from this author.

Of all the Kay Hooper books I've read thus far this is probably my favorite. I loved the characters introduced and how there was a back story to them without it being revealed all at once. The dance between Lucas and Samantha has the sort of elements and emotions that I think make sparkage.

The plot is dark and weaves a tale that has you turning the pages to find out more. I didn't find anything about this book to be boring or dull. It's jammed back with action, mystery, suspense, a touch of romance, supernatural and character driven plots. Five stars!
