Elsa, a friend of Nancy's and George's and a counselor at Green Spring Pony Club's summer camp, invites the two girls for a ride, but Nancy's horse falls in a ditch, and they soon come to the determination that it is a case of sabotage. Elsa fills Nancy in on other sinister happenings that have been occuring on the camp's grounds so Nancy disguses herself as a counselor in order to find out who is behind the vicious accidents.
