Highly biased but entertaining narrative. Should be classified as fiction rather than non fiction.

This book confirms the greater destruction of a people & way of life. Filled with a desperation to survive along with the temptation to gain access to modern conveniences like food without having to wonder when you're going to eat again, if ever, the Inuit are basically used & abused by an invading culture. A systemic long-term set of poor policy choices & hopeless resettlement programmes, leaves the Inuit desperate & starving in climate conditions that are terrifying. I can only imagine that the individual stories played out in the pages in this book are but a microcosm of the greater injustice that occured across the entire North of Canada.
