A resonating book on a devastating accident in a small town community and it's after effects thats as fresh as the day it was written. The movie adaptation by Canada's own Atom Egoyan couldn't have been done better. Read the book, then see Egoyan's film adaptation.

Disappointment. Hated this book....scanned most of it after a rough 1st chapter. Can't believe people like this.

This book is full of introspection and not a lot of action, but I liked it anyway! The story is sad, but beautifully told, and the descripitons of scenery are lovely. A very quiet, thoughtful story.
